Dr. Gillingham is a regular family guy with an incredible wife and two beautiful teenage daughters. His wife Melanie is a professor with a PhD and an RD who does research in fatty acid oxidation disorders and teaches in the master’s degree program in nutrition at OHSU. They are longtime members of a small organic farm, strive to eat in a local, seasonal, sustainable way, and have scores of gourmet vegetarian recipes they would love to share with you. Dr. Gillingham’s other passion is the volunteer work he does regularly with the Essential Health Clinic. This is an amazing community resource providing free medical care to the underserved in Washington County, and Dr. Gillingham considers it a great privilege to work alongside some of the nicest volunteers on the planet.
